Second public assembly in Male'


Male residents, on the 5th of July 2004, gathered at this meeting hall in Ghiyaasuddeen school to discuss political pluralism in a public forum. This gathering marks a historical change in Male' residents as they let go of the long-time fear of Gayyoom dictatorial rule, as the people came out with picket signs demanding for Gayyoom resignation.
