about the resignation of Yameen from cabinet and DRP is false
Male' - Many in Male' have been hearing the news
that Golhaabo's brother Yameen (popularly known as Raagondi Raajaa or Gui
Rasgefaanu) had resigned from the cabinet as well as from DRP, and had
threatened to take away few MPs with him. However, a source very close to Yameen
has confirmed to DO today that all these were just propaganda and rumours. "He
is very upset with his brother Golhaabo but is too cowardice to dissent against
him," the source said. "Who is he without his brother Golhaabo, people think he
is influential but he really is nothing and lives under the shadow of his
brother Golhaabo and the other brother Moakulhi Hameed," said the source
further.

Leader
Vs Dictator
I was recently reading a speech given by the UK
Prime Minster Rt. Hon. Tony Blair on 30th
November 2006 under the heading Education,
Education, Education – Ten Years On. The speech
was awesome from the beginning. He started his
speech saying that he visited more schools than
any other Prime Minster in the UK. He talks
about what he has witnessed in these schools and
the lessons he learned from the visits. He then
talks about the reforms introduced in to the
education sector and the resistance he faced. He
clearly spells out what he was trying to achieve
and states his number one, two and three
priorities are education, education and
education. He then explains why these were his
priorities since 1997.

The
heckling of Golhaabo on his return from Addu captured on video
An exclusive video footage of the heckling of
Golhaabo earlier this month. When Golhaabo returned from his 'controversial' Addu trip
on 8th February, he was
confronted by many reformists angry about the way he continues to arrest, abuse
and torture reformists, including Maldivian Democratic Party's leadership. As
Golhaabo got off his speedboat, people began converging on his car and began
screaming 'Golhaabo Faibaa' (meaning get-off Golhaabo) and Golhaabo Isthiufaa
(meaning we want Golhaabo's resignation!). The crowd followed his car to the
gate of his so called palace, Theemuge.

people as his close associates and regime
movers, amongst these are his cabinet Ministers

prosecution and allowed to operate above the

extramarital affair of Justice Minister Jameel,
who according to very reliable sources is
involved in a serious affair with a lady from

Time

There is absolutely no doubt that quite a lot has

changes are that people no longer respect the Dictator

risked everything and sacrificed their livelihoods for
the sake of freedom, justice and democracy.
