Taaza - Too mineralised to drink!
23rd July 2005
The Taaza mineral water which is manufactured by a joint venture company involving both MWSC and Champa maybe too mineralised.
OMADU Viyafari have picked a Taaza bottle which came with a metal piece inside, called 'vasaru' in local terms.
MWSC upon hearing the news contacted OMADU and requested them to return the bottle. They also later tried to persuade OMADU Viyafari to secretively burry the case but OMADU Viyafari refused and much to the dismay of them handed the bottle to Public health Authority in the presence of the press. How pathetic of MWSA for trying to burry the case.
This mineralised water is said to be of much quality that the ordinary water that's supplied to the public yet something like this happens is casting doubt.
''We know iron is a mineral, but this is ridiculous'', said a customer.
MWSC is mute on the issue. It would be most ethical for MWSA to publicly apologise in the aftermath of such an incident. However, over here in Maldives the public has no value for the Government.
