Thinadhoo prepares to welcome Hon. Gary Streeter this Friday

Thinadhoo - The capital island of Huvadhoo Atoll South, Thinadhoo, is preparing to welcome the delegation from the British Conservative Party's Human Rights Commission, Hon. Gary Streeter accompanies by party official Philippa Brooom, who are scheduled to visit the island on Friday, 19th January, as part of the 4 day visit to the Maldives. According to organisers, they are going to give Mr. Streeter a very warm welcome to demonstrate their appreciation for the countless work he has done for their party, the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).

"We are honoured that Hon. Streeter is visiting our island, we want this visit to be the highlight of his visit," said MDP President for South Huvadhoo Atoll, Mr. Saleem Ali, who is currently in the island. Several MDP members from all 4 southern Atolls are to converge on the island for the ceremony in addition to MDP officials, including Chairman Nasheed, organisers say.
