Everyone knows the system down here. At the first place POLITICS exists between the so called cabinet ministers, both from Nattu and Mau's sides. Ilyas and Yameen are struggling for the presidency when Maumoon steps down? Who's going to save our nation then? hehehe it's up to destiny... wonder whether there would be any other difference if someone else steps on to power in this case, isn't it?

It would be great if we could take the argument of how unfair the trials in Maldives are and if you all could change it! It's sad to see Anbaree and those kinda crooks twisting the real scenario by abusing the so called power which they've got! We can all change it for a better Maldives if we all could work together. It's not only Maumoon. Most of his associates in the cabinet at the first place are all corrupted people from head to bottom!!

Well well - we have some real Gayyoom's Goons here. So brave over the internet aren't we. I bet you goons are the same type as that are responsible for the torture of the prisoners in Dhoonidhoo. You are the type of people that shame most Maldivians. I suggest you go back to your burrows and hide. One day the winds of change will come to the Maldives and you will not be in a position to Bully the people any longer. Keep up the fight for the Maldivian Majority Sappe.

All I can say is that some Maldivians are ungrateful bastards who doesn't know what freedom is all about. Just because people in other countries cry "freedom" they think that they should do the same. Aren't we living in the most peaceful country? Do we have to think twice to go out at night? All this hogwash about needing a new regime... blah blah...and WTF does that Adam Smith know about how we live here? Please...he makes me laugh when he said "how Maldivians live"... oww puleeezzz... give me a break. Don't you guys have better things to do? Families to feed? Friends to hang out with? I suppose u r all loners, who have nothing better to do than to spoil the name and reputation of our beloved MALDIVES. I am no fan of Maumoon...but I have less respect for those ungrateful thoughtless narrow-minded humans!

Moosa, thank you for giving us access to Sandhaanu. Your website is an archive of information. I praise you for your courage, no matter what they say, you are our "hero" and we will stand by you through thick and thin. As for those who are angry with him, time has come for us to think hard about our actions and to react, in the hope of a better democracy in this country. This is our country, it does not belong to Maumoon and his government.

Politicians today are not leaders, nor are they representatives of the people. They are brokers who distribute the taxpayers money among special interests. That is all they are. And either party would much rather see their opponents win, with whom they can cut a deal, than a maverick in their own party with whom they could not cut a deal. And if you don't understand that, you're still in kindergarten." - Clyde Wilson

We are born in a time where the rulers of nations oppress their own people. We are given the opportunity to take our future and our children's futures into our own hands. Those who goes to fight for the better future of their country and its people, will be remembered by all. Those who don't will only criticise because when they had the chance, they didn't take it. It doesn't take one person to win a war, but it takes one patriot to show others how much freedom means to the future of our nation. Don't let a chance to help your country, your people, go by just like that. There is no easy way in the struggle for freedom. Be brave, be proud, be united, be a true Maldivian! Life is precious and short, spend it by helping others.

Sappe has a lot of potential and courage that no Maldivian (in the past 3 decades) has had. Maldivians are looking at this as a new era. I hope now that he will not let his people down. :D

Sappe, I think you are doing a wonderful job. You must not let these people get to you. They are desperate to bring you to disrepute. You are the best person we have and we love you! They cannot touch you! We will make sure of that.

Human rights issues, secularism, etc... we see a pattern similar to the governing council of Iraq... remember we are no fools... SAPPE!!
public opinion
I'm with you for what you are fighting for all of us. But, Sappe' you have to change yourself to get people's support. Long live Democracy!
For Democracy
Those people who cant, or wont see what's wrong with the Maldivian democracy are ignorant fools. You need to open your eyes and smell the rotten egg that is Maumoon. I praise Sappe for standing up. more people should follow...
Aishath
Let us count how many people are with him, and subtract all his family members and relatives from it, and then compare the amount with the people who are against him?
Anarchist
The incidents that are occurring in Maldives in recent times are appalling. No one can deny that. I really don't know who to blame. Is it the Public themselves Or Maumoon? After all its the Maldivians who decide their own destiny.
Adam
I say SAPPE is right. Maumoon's regime is same as Saddam Hussain or of any brutal dictators around. Lets see the facts. Most of his family controls the government and economy. If anyone calls this democracy he/she better go back to school.
Someone
IF ITS NOT SAPPE... THEN SOMEONE ELSE SHOULD BE TO SAVE OUR NATION... AT LEAST HE IS DOING SOMETHING FOR ALL OF US NOT LIKE YOU, HIDING BEHIND THE BUSH! SHAME ON THE PEOPLE WHO ARE AGAINST HIM.
Maldivian
Sappe don't mind these hypocrites! We need more people like you to build our future based on equality and justice! We look forward to the end of this regime! they are sucking our blood and killing our people. Keep up your good work!

Sappe, Good work - I want to say thanks. I will never forget the months when my father was in jail for no reason by dictator during my last years of secondary studies.
Just my self
I can tolerate Anything but Dictatorship And Nepotism. I can see how painfully Maldivian citizens live.

One has to know that one is in a prison to want to escape. We are in one, but with all the illusions to think that we have the best. Open your eyes and take a walk to see how much you are bounded by the thorns.

Dear Sappe I was physically and morally tortured trice in Dhoonidhoo during last 20months you can see more details what the regime suspects however it is not true at all! http://www.persecution.com/news/index.cfm?action=fullstory&newsID=173

If only the dictator knows that change is inevitable in life. The knowledge and acceptance of Impermanence is a gift. Can someone explain this to the man?

Seems that you are not happy with our way of life. We respect the present government and its chosen by the people and we will respect the next government too. One should not disagree for the sake of disagreement. It should be constructive.
Hassan
I cannot understand you were so close to the president and a sudden change, you appear on the BBC news. We don't understand what's your aim? What you say is different now and what you are now is still a question? How can we trust someone who probably might jump ship.
....................
Sappe', you have our support. Maldives is peaceful but smells of the blood of those who died recently. Report is now out but he wants to correct it, same old way. What a good idea! Keep up the good work, we are here for you!
Fathumath
What's wrong with you? Go to hell and build your own democracy there. We love Maldives the way it is. Whoever rules, Maumoon or another person, we want this place to be peaceful as it was before (before you came with your so goddamn good ideas) I hate you.

Sappe don't mind these hypocrites! You are not a traitor! We need more people like you to build our future based on equality and justice! Keep up the good work! We look forward to the end of this wabaa!

Sappe you are a coward. You have betrayed your country and your people. Shame on you. You cant change us and our thinking that way. First you prove yourself a true Maldivian. Then think of politics and the rest. Don't b a coward. We love Maldives and the way its been.

If you are sincere in getting freedom... you'll get it by the grace of god almighty... and if you are another dictator hiding behind the mask...a mask representing democracy... or whatsoever and behind it is darkness upon darkness ...
